Weekly Groceries for the Riverside Food Pantry
Keeping shelves stocked for families who need it most
The Riverside Food Pantry serves 120 families every week. That's 120 families who know that no matter how tough their week was, they can walk in on Saturday morning and walk out with enough food to feed their family for the week.
But our supply chain is struggling. Donations from grocery stores have dropped 40% this year, and food prices keep climbing. We're spending more and getting less. Last month, for the first time in our eight-year history, we had to turn families away because we ran out.
We're asking for help covering four weeks of grocery purchases — the staples that our corporate donors don't cover: fresh produce, dairy, eggs, bread, and protein. The things that turn a food box from "surviving" into "eating well."
$500 feeds 30 families for a week. $2,000 keeps our shelves full for a month. Every dollar stretches far because we buy wholesale.
